Welcome to the Hallowed Way Newsletter
Our first update
Hi,
If you are receiving this, it is because you previously asked to be kept up to date via the prayer request form on our website. We are grateful for the connection we’ve made with you through those intentions, and we wanted to make a more consistent way to stay in touch.
A quick note on your subscription: We’ve started this list with our community in mind, but we want this to be a blessing, not a burden. You can opt out at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email. No hard feelings. Moving forward, we plan to send these updates every 2–4 weeks.
Recent Highlights from the Blog
A Sicilian Tradition: The Saint Joseph Table With St. Joseph’s Day approaching, Laura has shared the traditions of her family, Tavola di San Giuseppe. Drawing from her family roots in Sicily. This is part of our Hallowed Home series of posts.
A Guide to Assisi - Saints Francis, Clare, and Carlo Acutis We kept returning to Assisi and absolutely love the hills of Umbria. With this year marking the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’s death, and a special Jubilee year, we’ve put together a guide for those looking to plan their own DIY pilgrimage.
The Road Ahead: A Note on the Holy Land
The Holy Land is at the top of our list for destinations, but we haven’t had much luck getting here. Our first trip was planned for late October 2023, but then October 7th happened. We were booked for last June, with our flight leaving on a Sunday - but the bombings closed airspace the Friday before.
Now, we are booked to spend Holy Week this year with Mountain Butorac, The Catholic Traveler. We are still hopeful (as of this writing), but the news is not promising.
Nevertheless, we will pray for everyone who gave us their intentions from our home in Naples.
